i'm not a tattoo hater (i have one and plan on many more)... i just wanted to comment. first of all, thats a beautiful piece of work. not my cup of tea as far as the subject matter goes, but you cant deny that a lot of time went into that piece and the artist was great. secondly, i cant believe how many people in this day and age still think tattoos are only for criminals, bikers, and veterans. these days, you'd be hard pressed to go through your daily routine and not come across a large amount of people with tattoos... including doctors, lawyers, teachers. they arent to show you have done time, they are to express something about yourself. i dont get why these tattoo haters are on this section of answers in the first place. just my two cents.

Not a "tattoo hater" I have one but I still feel that it's really a personal choice to get one or not get one. I don't think that someone seeing a tattoo or reading the description is likely to change their opinions or the way that they feel about tattoos. Not really suprised about the content in the description...people get tattoos for all sorts of reasons, whether they have meaning or not. Not clear on what we're supposed to be suprised about though.

That was interesting. I had to read it and look at a couple times over. It is not what it seems from a first glance, you know?
By the way, I am not a tattoo hater. I think it is that person's choice. I myself, do not know if I will ever get one or not. It would have to have a lot of meaning like that person's.

Sorry...and this is just one person's opinion...I just can't warm up to tattoos, no matter what they say or show, or who wears them.
You--and everyone else--have the absolute right to get them on any part of your body and to have them say any sentiment or show any image you choose. Many are beautifully done and tattooing is absolutely an art. But to me--unless they're on WWII veterans, they make me think of prisoners or other people with hard lives.

Surprised??? Not at all. It's just jargon. It's just another ordinary, uninspiring tattoo... like most of them are.. Sorry, but it does not do one thing for me one way or the other. I'd be more impressed if it said " Pearl Harbor Survivor".. I'd probably take notice then and and want to meet the dude and buy him a drink.

Clinically it would require latent homosexuality and a degree of mania to do that to yourself on behalf of your 'bro'.
