OK...so I'm trapped in a house and I have a key to the front door.
...and I need to escape the house....so what do I do? There is an open window...apparently this "open window" does not lead to freedom...maybe this window is on a higher floor than the ground floor and it leads to a balcony, but not freedom....I pier out the window, accidentally drop the key onto the balcony...so I have to go through the window to retrieve the dropped key. After doing so, I go back "inside" go downstairs, unlock the front door and make good my escape.....Yup, perfect sense...I guess

My explanation of "The Scenario":
You're trapped in a house with your young toddler/child who is the one who tosses the key out the window in a feisty or playful moment. So you quickly jump out the window (which is too high off the ground for your child but not for you). You search for and find the key, grab it, jump back through the window because your child is hovering by the window watching you, and you're afraid he or she will fall out. Finally, you grab your toddler, run to the front door, unlock it, and the 2 of you finally escape!

Unless for some reason you need that front door open (other than to get out of the house), then it doesn't make sense to be concerned about unlocking it, since you can get in and out through the open window.
It's makes about as much sense as someone being worried because they left their keys in their car and the doors to it are locked, but the car is a convertible with the top down.

Well...why would you want to jump back into the house to open the door if you've already gotten out the window?
So no, the scenario does not make sense.

No. First of all, if your locked INSIDE can't you just unlock the door without the key? Second, if you were out of the house then why would you go back inside the house just to go back outside? It does not make any sense at all!

No it doesn't for many reasons, if you are in a room you don't need to unlock the front door and you could have just jumped out the window and stayed out.

yeah, the window, its open! Plus why would you be "trapped" if you have a key?
To trap means to prevent from moving or to catch in something that holds....You are not trapped when you have the key!
