I'm sorry to say, if you are a snake player, you want something fast and dependable, and the Spyder might not cut it for you if you're talking competative play.
Yes, the Spyder is a good beginer marker, but it's not going to have the dependability of the Ion, or other markers. The ACS is a good system, but not as good as "eyes". The Spyder's electronics do not offer the dependability of other markers that are slightly more expensive.
I hate to say it, but I would just spend an extra $40 and get an inexpencive aluminum HPA tank (they are like $80) and get the Ion or even a Trilogy select fire. Using CO2 is not good when trying to shoot quickly for long periods, it causes something we call "shoot down" which is what happens when the expansion of CO2 can't keep up with the ammount used when shooting rapidly, and your velocity goes down. You won't get "Shoot Down" with HPA, so it's more dependable for a more forward player such as snake. A dependable marker that can keep up with the higher demand for performance is a must for this position(or any position).
You can use the HPA on the Spyder also, I use it on my E-99Avant, which is now my back up marker, but I wouldn't stake alot of trust into one for the competative level I play.
As for the hopper, you'll be fine with a Revvy or even an Eggy. I use a Halo TSA on my E-99. Using a CO2 powered Spyder, you really don't need anything too fast, but still want a powered hopper.
