Diesel. I've seen diesel cars getting over 54 mpg. Try doing that with gasoline!

The diesel engine typically gets much better fuel mileage than a gasoline powered car or truck. Fuel consumption in a gasoline MBz, is much greater because the gasoline engine has a much greater displacement, and four or five times the HP and resultant performance. The only real comparison between diesel and gasoline power should come from one where both engines have the same ccm displacement. The diesel would again be the winner because of the much higher compression ratio.

bio diesel is the way to go. It is cheaper than regular deisel and gets better milage. You also dont even have to change anything to your engine.
You can get bio deisel from any fast food resuaurant, but it takes about 4-5 hours to refine it. This will give you a single tank that will last you 7-10 days depending on how much driving you do.
The best part is, the exaust is not harmful to the enviroment at all.

Diesel autos gets greater advantageous gasoline mileage than the comparable truck with a gasoline engine. maximum 2500 and 3500 diesel truck can recover from 20 mpg on the line with no trailer. yet do no longer attempt to place diesel in a gas powered vehicle, you're engine will require many intense priced maintenance.

Generally, diesel. Diesel is also more powerful in pulling power.(better torque). Engine also lasts longer.

I loaded semi gets around 7 MPG.
If you would put a Gas engine in a loaded semi with the same torque output it would be lucky to get 1 MPG.
