Best program out there is DVD Shrink followed and aided by DVD Decryptor. THey make several other programs to help in removing the "code" on dvds. The one that ive found to work the most on juast about all dvds is Ripit4me. This is a program that works with the ove listed programs and combines them into a one click rip. As far as time for an .avi that depends on the computer and the andvancement of the movie, anywhere from 5-60 mins.
