Your village called. They said their local idiot is missing.

Nope. And don't try it. If you feel the officer is voilating the law w/o justification, you can write the car # & license plate # down and file a compliant w/ the police department.

Odds are you don't know why he's speeding and he probably has a legitimate reason - which is all he usually needs.

If he was coming to help you, how quickly would you want him there? Many cops violate their department policies regarding speeding b/c they feel the citizens deserve better, prompt service or they suspect the situation is dangerous, necessitating a quicker response, even though the service call has been assigned a lower priority (prioritzed by a computer or civilian dispatcher).

If you are talking about pulling over a law enforcement officer through the use of red/blue lights and/or siren (specifics depending on the state), then no, a regular citizen cannot "pull over" a police officer. Doing so would constitute impersonation in most states.

Please don't try to. If you have a problem with the way an officer is driving, contact that agency and give the tag # or car # and the location and time. Also, as others have already pointed out, there are any number of reasons for an officer to be driving faster than the speed limit. Police officers put up with enough crap, so why don't you just give him a break.

I think at best, you could legally pull him over to request help from the officer.Good luck trying to write a traffic infraction ticket.I wonder how many years in prison you would get for trying to handcuff a police officer?

Don't do it. Just file a complaint to the nearest police station.
