Just looking for a little sunshine amongst the storm clouds...those who insult and patronize the non-believers. Seem there're an aweful lot around here.
Thanks for not judging!

Of course we accept you. We just can't accept that your position is valid. I mean, one of us is wrong.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong. I was an unbeliever for longer than I've been a believer, so I'm not without empathy. Since I believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, then of course I want you to believe it too. But I also know that I can't make you believe it. Just wanted to be clear that I respect your right to be left alone, to eat, to have a safe place to sleep, to pursue your dreams. I have many unbelieving friends and I don't badger them about spiritual matters. If they don't see anything in me that makes them wonder if Jesus Christ is Who I believe He is, then nothing I say is going to persuade them. As someone once said, "They aren't going to care how much you know until they know how much you care." I think that's valid. And it cuts both ways. Sorry if I seemed rude to you.

It is sad when you see some of the comments people make about those who don't share their beliefs. They forget that while we are called to tell others about the love of God demonstrated through Jesus Christ we are also called to love other people - whether they believe as we do or not.
Jesus said, the Greatest Commandment is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind and the Second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself." To show who is a neighbor he told the parable of "The Good Samaritan." The story helps us to understand that "neighbor" is not (necessarily) the person next door or across the street (as we commonly understand the term). Rather a neighbor is anyone and especially one in need.
It goes without saying that if you don't love yourself you can't love your neighbor.
Sometimes even when we say "oh we are not perfect, just forgiven," or "we hate the sin but love the sinner," it sounds arrogant, insincere and very much like "a put down."
Maybe if we showed genuine Christian love to those who don't share our faith we wouldn't have such a hard time convincing them of the reality of Jesus Christ; for Jesus said that it is by our "LOVE" the world will be convinced that "the Father has sent the Son."
I for one hope the discourse becomes more civil, because some of what I read here is appalling.

People are free to believe (or not believe) anything they wish. A true Christian does not judge others. The Bible says, "Judge not, lest ye be judged". So if someone is giving you a hard time, just remind them of that. We Christians are only charged with spreading the word. Your Christian friends should not be trying to cram their beliefs down your throat. God only promised that everyone would receive His word, yet He gave us free will to accept it or not. It is harder to maintain friendships with people who think differently than we do. Commonalities are what bind us together. You just have to be mature enough to respect everyone's right to believe as they wish.

I'm a Christian, and I don't judge anyone. I accept everyone just as they are, and leave the judging up to God. Yes, I know God's laws in the Bible, but I know that Jesus didn't discriminate against anyone when inviting them, and I also know that even Jesus himself said he wouldn't judge others- that the word of God would be makind's judge (John 12:47-49). I don't think as a Christian I am sent here to judge or discriminate, but just to love others, and, if others don't mind hearing about Him, to talk about Jesus. So yes, I accept "non-believers", I do not judge others as having sin, all I see is their beautiful soul; peace to them!

I believe everyone has the right to believe or not believe. Spirituality and religion are personal matters and everyone should have their to hold their beliefs. I do think the two subjects should not preached to everyone. i hate people preaching to me. It makes me feel like I am being sold a product. If I ask, answer. If I do not ask or show lack of interest, please respect that; is what I think

You would be surprised at how many non-believers pose as christians in these forums, just trying to make christians look bad.
Many claim to know "Of" Christ Jesus, however, most don't know Him at all. Don't be fooled by non-christians posing as christians.
Wickedness abounds and tries to destroy the faith of the true believers.
God Bless Israel and America.
God Bless You....Peace.

Regardless of which belief system one's have, whether one's is a believer or nonbeliever, or free thinker, all of us just wish to be happy and avoid suffering.
There's the basic nature of human right.
So just for once, let's put away all the 'label' we have, and love everybody as who they are.
May all of you be well and happy

Sure. My dad is a pagan and my mom is a spiritual agnostic. I think that growing up around such open minded people helped me to be more tolerant and loving Christian.
