Religion and names of God are all creation of man.

It is useful to have a name to refer to the Almighty and it also helps to have a prescribed way of reaching Him.

However one has to understand that God does not discriminate by religion or race. He does not judge you by the time you spend worshipping Him or don't worship Him. What matters is the purity of your soul and your actions in this world.

God has many names, according to which religion you practice. It is all the same God. There is also the mother God.

To me, What's important is believing in something...anything at all. That belief allows us to hope and find meaning in our lives. Whether we call it god or luck or hogaliebodegaar, it's name gives us a more concrete source from which we can draw strength.

I call him "Eddy". Yes, it matters. If I used another name, he might not answer! I say "Hey Eddy, what's the translation of 'Mortuus est Dei filius; credible est quia ineptum est: et sepultus resurrexit; certum est quia impossibile est'?" and I get an answer - but if I addressed the question to "Rufus", I would not.
