which true emmotions? he obviously appreciated that you're in his life and was there to support him so the question is, what emmotion(s) do you exepct from your significant other in situations like this one? maybe he isn't aware of your need for those emmotions at times like that and the easy fix is to give him that information so he will know the next time.

Is there any chance that you were looking desperate? That really turns guys off.

Assuming that's not the case: You say you have a crush on him. How does he feel about you? If he sees you as just a friend, his response may be appropriate.

Then, there's the pride thing. We don't like to look needy, so we downplay it when someone helps us.

One last thought--did he ask you to help, or did you volunteer? I find myself more thankful when the help I receive is what I asked for, not what may have been thrust on me.

Just some thoughts...

Maybe he did show his true emotions.

What, exactly, is a "crush"? I know what a crush used to be, but is it something different now? Does he KNOW he's your crush? Does he like you?

If the lovey-dovey feelings don't go both ways, then you got it all, girl. He appreciates what you did for him. Period.
