ofcourse they should, the earlier the kids start eating healthy and developing healthy habits, the lower their chances are for becoming obverweight and unhealthy. and the last thing north america needs is more obese people that increase the cost of healthcare and just ruin their lives. i started eating healthy early, and now i cant even look at bad food, and i actually love eating healthy food that lots of kids these days find gross. and i am very lean and healthy. therefore i believe that if kids start developing healthy habits when they r in their earlier years, it will grow and they will naturally pick healthy options in their lives, making them healthier, happier and allowing them to live out their lives how they wished.

Yes - all schools - pre-school through university should offer healthy, sensible food choices. America has the highest percentage of obese children and adults due to our dependency on fast food options. A healthy choice in schools will turn the tide away from obesity - also a three to five day a week physical education program will ensure children and young adults engage in some sort of physical activity.

Schools at all levels should have nothing but healthy foods. But the schools can't do it in a vacuum. What happens at the home is very important. I feel, though, that what first needs an overhaul is our culture. Since the end of WWII and especially, the dawn of television, Americans have been buying according to taste and convenience. This translates into a high (simple) carb and high fat diet. That, and one other 'revelation'; when stores began opening 24/7.

I think they should serve vegetables and fruits...I don't think they should cut out pizza day and hamburger day. I think that when you eat at a school that the food tastes pretty bad, and it's hard to screw up pizza. So imagine when they decide to serve healthy food, which is already bad enough. Then the food is even worse and the kids won't eat it. Then they will just start bringing their own lunches of junk food. Maybe it's a good idea to just cut out soda and snack machines.

I think they should have both.
Of course health food should have many choices
But they should also serve like 1 unhealthy food.
cause sometimes you just have to eat something unhealthy.
And i agree with the other person. Obesity rates are too high. And thats why they should only serve like maybe one unhealthy food. And by unhealthy i mean like pizza not chocolate cake.

they are making school foods healthier now. They are posting nutrition facts. Also, at my school they only sell diet drinks. Lastly they are limiting how much of healthy food you can buy. For example it used to be that you could buy four ice creams. Now you can only by one
