There is no disposal, what they do is use it for undercover narcotics transactions, to set up and bust more people. It's just a big cycle.

Much of it is stored as evidence in an evidence room. These rooms are generally protected with controlled-access features, including a chain of custody requirement for each individual piece of evidence. Once a drug is no longer needed as evidence in court, it is destroyed.
There have been cases here and there where cops have used or sold the drugs themselves. These cases are considerably rare and, if caught, the cops are subject to serious prosecution.

pot is burned....and of course a small amount is sent to the state labs for testing of other drugs, and also some is used for undercover narcs to use....but no, the judges don't get any of it...
