No need to worry. Iodine is not really harmful. The dog can get an upset tummy but other than that, it's fine. I have worked with Iodine many times in the medical profession(with humans) and nothing serious has ever came out of it. Iodine is placed on the skin of humans during procedures to cleanse the area.(in large amounts) Even when the skin absorbs some, no one becomes sick and it's still in the system. Your dog swallowing a tiny bit will not harm your dog. It is good though that you love your dog so much to worry like crazy. Good luck,

If it was a very tiny bit then just watch your dog. If anything it may just upset his stomach and he may vomit.
How did it even get near iodine????
