Is there a certain hormone or chemical in the body that causes breakouts? If breakouts are caused by a simple hormone, couldn't a shot be created that would change that? Is there a reason that has not been done? Is it more complicated than that? If I I were a scientist I would create one so I could become rich.

That hormone that causes acne is the same one responsible for your sexual maturation and growth.

The full mechanisation is still not understood, there are other biochemical pathways not explored. It is possible but I do not see in the near future.

Yes acne is caused by hormones . And since I don't have acne a lot of times or better to say that I don't have acne , I don't know a lot of treatments , but maybe you can try '' Sudocrem '' ( Antiseptic Healing Cream for indications such as the following : Sunburn , Minor Burns , Surface Wounds , Acne and Chilblains ) . Or Continue Washing and Scrubbing ( and Toning , as in putting some liquids , and putting some cream as a last attempt ) to get rid of the acne .

Acne is caused by the bacteria P. acnes. Often during puberty people are more susceptible to the bacteria because their sebaceous glands are more active do to hormones. Acne has the ability to be present is anybody, it just normally isn't.

A vaccine also can't control hormone levels. Vaccines are normally used with viruses to trick the body into thinking that it has been attacked by a virus so it produces the antibodies for the virus. If the virus gets into the body the antibodies will kill it before it causes any problems.

Because acne is not a disease and the hormones that cause it are necessary - it's what turns boys into men and what turns girls into women.
