My grandma smoked for 30-40 years. She has been checked out every year if there was anything ever on her lungs.
They finally said she needs to have something removed and checked for cancer

What is the likelyness that it is cancerous?

Rather than think negatively, lets think good thoughts and that this may just be something minor. Keep her in your prayers. And give her lots of love and support. I am sure that she needs your love now more than ever. Even Grandmas get frightened sometimes. Best wishes to all of you.
