Is there such a thing as "true love?" The reason I ask is that my observations of the world today indicate that there are more people getting divorced, getting cheated on, and breaking up than there are happy couples that are in love and stay in love. I mean, are humans mentally and physically capable of staying in love with someone and being faithful to each other?

Hey Gurly Gurl, sure there is. I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 45 years. True love means not only liking each other but also learning to give and take and see the other person's point of view. I think one of the big reason for so much divorce these days is that a lot of people suffer from the "Me" syndrome. Marriage is about "We".

yes!! my fiance and i are high school sweethearts, and we're happily in love, even though we've gone through some really hard timesand are currently separeated by 2 hours because of college. it juts depends on the pople's personlaties and their morals. with the way the media is these days, it's no wonder people are divorcing and have low morals......maybe if there was a break in it all, people would go back to being able to get in touch with that side of them.

but yes, true love does exist!!! at least for me it does!! i'm sure you'll find it someday too!

Yes, true love does exist. The only reason you see alot of the negative sides of relationships is that it's more open than it used to be. Plus, alot of people are less committed than they used to be. People odn't seem to be committed to making a relationship work anymore. But it still happens. You just don't hear about it. People love dirty laundry. They love hearing the latest gossip, the new Hollywood couple or who's getting divorced. But, call me old fashioned, I still believe in true love and an everlasting relationship.
