I have one that I know the doctor was "proud of". It is horrible.! Mine was pointed out today at the gym. Just wondering if any other women have this scar and if you find it embarressing when somrone ask you "what happened to your arm"?

I have one. It's a red blister on my upper arm. It's a BCG vaccine and it's only 50% protective against tuberculosis. Needless to say, whenever I see it, I congratulate my medical school for making it compulsory for all medical students until the year I graduated.
Me and my friends joke that it's a "swtich" that turns me on or off. So next time someone laughs at your scar, just joke that it's your "on off" button...
Some men find that quite funny...

Yes. All boys at my boarding Prep school had to have various vaccinations including BCG on entry. The resulting scar, just above the left elbow, is about 1 inch (25mm) across.

As 'The Hiker' says, it is a sort of 'badge of honour' proving forever that you have been vaccinated against TB.

Hi ya Pollys54. Wear it like a badge of Honor. If it really bothers you though, you can always consider cosmetic surgery. It shouldn't cost to much for something that size. Good Luck!
