The most obvious is the plug. Others include wiring!

In the united states the connectors are different. If you are refering to the wires, the 120V circuit will have one white wire and one wire with another color (usually black). The 240V circuit will have 2 colored wires and perhaps one white wire. All circuits will have a ground wire. If you are looking at the circuit breakers, 120 V circuits will have a single breaker and 240V circuits will have a diuble breaker.

In which country? Each country has a distinctive outlet/plug pattern for different voltage and current options. You can Google these and I know it because I did it once.

If you know your 120V is 1 phase (R-N, Y-N or B-N). You can know the 3 phase voltage (Phase to phase voltage of R-Y, Y-B or B-R) by 120V x Root (3)
