today is my birthday and my ex was going to ask me back out and he didnt and them when i told my best friend she said she talked ot him and i mean i really still like him and he still likes me and she ssid that he said that i wasnt his type because i want to wait to have sex till i am at least a senior cause i am only in 8th grade and i mean he said he wanted to break up with his girlfriend cause she was to sexually active and i think he wants me to do other things that i am not ready for i dont want to go out with him if he wants that but how do i stop likeing him

You should be proud of the decision you have made and stand your ground. You have great respect for yourself and know early on what direction your going in. With that said, sweetie do not under any circumstances let the way you feel about him sway the moral values you have set for yourself. If he truly cares for the real you, he will wait. Doesn't help the feelings you have towards him or the heartache that may loom in the near future but which would weigh more heavily on your heart....letting yourself down or letting him go?

Talk to friends, or family, and a few days after the break-up go out into nature if you can. This is a nurturing place. Mother nature grounds us, and soothes us. Going for a walk in the mountains, by a stream, or the ocean, is a way to be alone with your thoughts, and to get grounded again.
At all costs, try to avoid the person who caused your heart to break. If you keep seeing them, it will just bring some hope to the surface, and that hope will be dashed on the rocks once again. Avoid more pain, by staying away from them.

It'll be rough getting over him since you sound attached. BUT he obviously does not care about you the way you do about him if he cannot accept you don't want to do these things with him at this point in your life. You are smart NOT to anyway! You don't want to have sex with anyone until you feel it's love and you are mature enough to know it is love. You only get one first chance at it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

you will never stop liking or loving the first boyfriend, but if he does not respect you enough to stay with you when you say no to him then hes not good enough for you, im sorry if this offends you but thats the way i see it
