For getting any kind of loan Credit History is much more important than credit score. Often, the lack of credit history is equated with bad credit. You should be aware that lenders will go through your credit report once you apply for loan for buying a house, car or getting a credit card. Therefore you should polish your credit report in order to increase credit available for you.
Anyway, in order to establish a good credit history and at the same time risen your credit score in a short time you can take a look at this site:

I don't care what the credit limit is, whats important that you keep debt low, so creditors don't think you are in money trouble If you think credit cards are great do a lot of investigating. Most credit law favors the creditor not the customer. Do not think credit is good or you will find yourself in court and have a bad credit score. A credit card can charge you $40 for being one day late and also raise your interest rate from ten to 24% for making a couple of mistakes . .

If you have a score of 500 your chances of getting a credit card are slim to none. It depends on your score and also how much debt you already have. Any credit score under 630 is considered poor credit. 630 to 680 is considered fair. 680 or above is considered good credit if you don't already have alot of debt. Example: A person with a credit score of 670 with little debt may be more likely to get a credit card with a good limit over a person with a credit score of 750 if the person with a score of 750 already has alot of debt. Now when I say debt any account on your credit that you are paying for is considered a debt including car payments, department store cards, student loans etc.

You could apply for a credit card with a low limit on it with that score. Also sometimes score doesn't matter as much as how we have paid our debts in the past. You should be able to get at least a $300.00 credit limit, then you can work your way up to a higher one when you show them you will pay on time. Always pay more then the minimum)sp) payment
