it depends on the course, how hilly it is.
and the distance you're running.
high school races in my state are 5K, and this year's state champion ran a pretty hilly course in 15:15...though he was exceptionally good, and later got 2nd at nationals.

If that is a 5k that is really good and you should stick with the sport because if you shed a minute or two off it over your 4 years you should be looking at a big time scholorship.

For a freshman that sounds good. Some of the best state times are down to thirteen minutes for guys.

If you're a 9th grader running with your Middle school team, you're running 2 miles. In that case, your time is pretty slow. If you are a 9th grader running on the High School team, then you are running a 5K (3.1 miles) and that time is very good.
If you are on a team, you already know where you stand, and probably you are doing a little bragging, are you not?

like everyone else it depends on the distance u r running, and the terrain that your running on, if it is a 5k that is challenging then that is a very good time, but if it isnt a 5k then u will want to work on it, or the same thing if it is an easy course

its good that your in cross country--they should have intramural sports in high school instead of compete til you drop or not at all and dont run, all or nothing garbage has kids turned off to sports in high school and alot of them like myself got very unhealthy because of it..it is good to have a competitive spirit but unless dont have to win every time when it comes to excercise.

Haha! I couldn't have said it better than that guy who wrote above me. You are clearly just trying to brag. The part that gets me- you're bragging to an audience who you'll never meet in person and will never think twice of you. Fishing for compliments...
