May you are going for a viral infection or flu. Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Could be a flu, strep throat or the common cold! Try having some zinc, throat lozenges and some comtrex for whatever your symptoms are, that works best for me.
