Well for those who do not believe in a soul, they surely have no doubts. Am I right?

For those, like me, that have no doubts that most souls cross over, and religion has nothing to do with it, we have no fear of what will happen. There is no hell, sin, or satan, so why worry about a place that was invented by man to control the masses?

It is only those that believe there is a hell that worry about it. Aren't you supposed to be "saved"? If you truly believe you are "saved", than you wouldn't worry about it would you?

Certain religions *cough* Christianity *cough* instill a fear of the afterlife, why should we be afraid? The whole notion of eternal damnation is an alien concept to any Pagan religion. Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how we deal with them that’s important; we should try to learn and live our lives as honorably as possible. If you live life to it’s fullest and strive for self improvement, you should be prepared for whatever the afterlife might bring. There is no salvation/damnation dynamic. There is no punishment for not following a particular deity. There is no need to confess your “sins” and beg for repentance to a God, you are fully responsible for your own actions and responsible for making amends with people you might have wronged. There’s no easy way out and you cannot blame your actions on “evil spirits”.

As far as the afterlife itself goes, there are many, many destinations. There is no “either-or” destination after death. For Asatru, heaven was being with their ancestors after death and Hell (that is the Christian idea of Hell) would have been spending the after life without one's ancestors or Gods.

I don't believe in a soul but I'm much more agnostic when it comes to that than I am when it comes to my Atheism. It wouldn't shake my belief structure if it turns out that information if conserved and that the information in my brain somehow has an existence which extends past this life. It's certainly allowed for in science fiction.

There is a heaven and there is a hell. If someone is "saved" of course they don't worry about hell. They are going to heaven and are going to be with God. What we worry about is the "unsaved" friends, family, and strangers who will go to hell. We don't want them to go to hell.

There is a heaven, God does exist, there is a hell, satan does exist, and sin separates all creation from God. These are no inventions of men. You may believe these don't exist, but you are only fooling yourself. There is good and evil in the world.

Isn't it tension that makes a string straight and useful?
Isn't it also OK to have doubts about the afterlife? If so, there is even hope for people like you.

One song says it this way:
"I don't know what the future holds
But I know who holds the future ...."

I have doubts about what other people have made up about the afterlife. like:

angels
virgins
devils
fire

No one can say for sure what happens. I think we turn into electricity.

Well, hell will never accept me, which explains why I never die. So I will always live the 'current' life.
