I have little doubt that you probably have found your true religion. What do I think of it? I think it is a cult, a way of escape from the reality of God into a world of religion, but in such a deep way as to be a cult. Am I happy for you? I think that there is a part of you that really wants this and that you are bound to seek it out and try it. If you learn that it is an empty religion without the gospel, then you might run and convert to God, but I think that the comfort you will find in being around others in the cult will out weigh any real truths. As far as the door to doors go, you might as well do it because everyone else is. If you were doing what the Jehovah Jesus Christ wanted you to do, you would be somewhere else, right?

Any JWs want to "down thumb" this? I don't mind, but I would like to request that you explain to God, not to me, why you "down thumbed" His Holy Word and Christ.

Good luck with that and say goodbye to all your family and friends who haven't converted. They expect everyone to do door to door. If you skip meetings they will be calling you to find out why you weren't there. Did i mention you have to go 3 times a week?

Read as much as you can about all religions. I am very happy to be away from this religion. They are bad for families and very male dominant. my grandfather is a circuit overseer and does not talk to his own family who are considered bad because they are "outsiders". Several women i know both family an dnon family were excommunicated/disfellowshipped because their witness husbands cheated on them.

by the way who is anyone to tell anyone else what the "truth" is?
I think you have to discover that for yourself. It is all about faith and your own beliefs

Is the Jehovah's Witness religion Christian? The answer to the question is, "No. It is not Christian." Like all cults, the J.W. organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity.

There are four requirements for salvation as taught by JW.

Typical with cults that use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors:

1. Taking verses out of their immediate context.
2 .Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context.
3 .Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text.
4 .Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs.
5. Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others.
6. Changing the meanings of words.
7. Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they
contradict their doctrines.
8 Adding to the Word of God.

Do some research on the religion. If you notice the brothers and elders will never tell you about the real history of the religion. The beliefs and rules and predictions were so different back then and totally changed over a short period of time. Go to Wikipedia or anywhere else to see what the real Jehovah's Witnesses are.

It is a good thing that you are seeking God, but you better be careful. There is a website that is dedicated to apologetics, which is, simply put the defense of Christianity and the Bible. They do studies on cults and different religions to find out if they teach truth from the Bible, or if they teach false doctrine. You really should check it out. I will not openly try to hurt you by telling you that they teach false doctrine, but it is a fact that they do. Please, if you really seek God, and care about your eternal soul, check out the site. It is www.carm.org. Check out the left column on the home page, and click on Jehovah's Witnesses. Do it for you. Thanks.

This is without a doubt the very worst place to seek any good
feedback. All I can say is that the Witnesses use the Bible and
only the Bible, and can back up everything they say.If its true
that you have become one of Jehovahs Witnesses. Please do
not listen to the negative comments and slurs here.As it is the
devil (satan)and his henchman that try to turn people away from
the truth.Case in point:You do not hear Witnesses calling other
religions cults or bad mouthing what others believe.!!!They have
a web site also,Try it....www.watchtower.org

I'am happy that your happy. But what exactly are you happy about? I'am not going to lie to you and say that I'am happy that your a JW. I have reservations about that particular organization. Yes you can be happy right now, but the only way you can be truly happy is by going to heaven knowing Jesus as your Lord. Something that your organization doesn't believe in just in case you didn't know. Remember organizations don't save only Jesus can. sincere blessings.

You have not truly become a Witness yet. You might be interested, you might be studying, but if you do not know the answer to this question, you have not been studying long.
