Grandma's cooking and love are always weight gainers. You have to cut back on the amount of calories, and increase you exercise. If you don't you will surpass the chubby point and really be fat. Your Granda means well and your weight doesn't show up for her, it does for you and your friends.

At the current rate of weight gain (4.5lbs/month), you will weigh 176 pounds by summer (Late June), and by October 2008 you will weigh 243 and a half pounds.

I would highly recommend re-evaluating your diet.

It depends on the person...depressed or happy. You can gain weight from stress or getting rid of stress.
Okay....3,500 calories to burn one pound of fat
You keep a journal of your food intake..I think its highly important for you to see on paper the numbers of what you are taking in.

You buy a calorie counting watch..You take your total intake calories +3,500 add them together and THAT is what you need to burn everyday..to burn one pound.

If you start seeing the numbers I think it will help see that alot of what you might eat..may be uneccesary. You have to remember that your stomach and your intake of food at one meal sitting should be the size of your fist. It doesn't take much food to maintain your health. You can have 5 to 6 servings of healthy food the size of your fits over three regular huge meals. Your body is like a conveyer belt. You need a little at a time to keep everything moving. Good Luck

You need to control this now! years ago, people didn't have the knowledge of how and what to cook for good health, so many older people eat poorly. They cook with shortening, oil, refined flour, etc.

Get more fruit, veggies and whole grains in your diet. Only you control what goes in your body. Get some exercise, too.

Sounds like Grandma is a pretty good cook. Just cut what you've been eating in half and you'll get back to your normal weight.
