In my opinion they're hypocrites. Many people go to church to be seen, they could careless about religion. Sad, but true.

Unfortunately, some people that go to church don't necessarily go for the right reasons. I would just hope that they are just tired and hungry and need to eat and go home and take a nap.
Please don't think that we are all like that. My entire family from my parents, siblings and their spouses, and all of our children go to church together and out together afterwards. I only hope that no wait person ever was made to feel the way that you have. We are good tippers---and we should be with such a big party?!!

As a believer, I apologize for them. I think culture demands they endure family outings for an hour without disciplining their children during the week. They sit in a higher priced resterant worrying about paying a bill, instead of selling their third auto or boat. They eat crappy diner food for a fortune, trying to appear 'all-american' and so they are confused. They're basically frustrated working class American nuts, rather than 'Christians'.

Because sitting in church is boring and they're sick of that fake niceness that prevails in church.
Honestly? I wish I understood why many of the same people who extol the virtues of church are often some of the rudest/intolerant people known to man. At least in my experience.

A lot of people go to church for the wrong reasons. Don't let them get you down.

that doesn't make much sense does it. perhaps they aren't church goers at all - just sunday eaters. Are you sure they were from church? that is sad. Sounds like they aren't really being good Christians. I think if they were church goers that I probably wouldn't go to their church. Thats sad but they aren't being good stewards.

I don't know what church those people go to, but i go to church every sunday and mostly every sunday we go to eat after service, and no matter how hungry we are, we are kind to our waiters. i don't think it has anything to do with coming out of church but i think its about who the people are and how they were raised.

I think they are probably glad to get out of church. Some sermons are pretty long and boring. They probably just want to eat and go home... no chit-chat.
