I have a rescued maltese yorkie mix, and she only weighs 4 pounds. My neighbors chihuahua somehow got in my fence when I let my baby outside to do her business. They got locked together, and I hosed him off. What I need to know is can I abort the puppies, and have her spayed if she is indeed pregnant?

Although there was an abortion pill available, for dogs, it was deemed inhumane because of its side-effects. If you spay her right away, that will take care of the foetus's as well. You will need to so it soon, because if she tied, then she's likely preggers.

If she's not too far along in her pregnancy, the vet can spay her now. That will eliminate any developing fetuses.

-- Thank you for rescuing this dog, and for securing its better health by spaying it!

yes they can do it. the sooner the better. but if you didn't want puppies you should of had her spayed. im surprised that the rescue adopted her out without it being done. most rescues will have it done before they adopt out an animal.

Well....first of all- you are not an irresponsible owner-like many will say-but you should have had her already fixed!Killing the puppy's-cute cuddly puppy's,seems really unfair....... but might be the right thing to get done! You dog may not be pregnant-i would take her to the vet ASAP!If shes not-get her fixed and if she is, carefully review your choice with your vet-he can help you more then us! I hope this helps!

the vet can take care of it if you want to only if she is not too far along. Then the vet can spay her for you

I would wait and see if her belly gets big or is she's acting strange if these things happen you should take her to the vet and have her tested and abortion is never ever right sweet hart

take it a step further, have the owners of the male get yours fixed, their dog got into your fence, impregnated your dog. they are responsible for their dogs actions. you didnt want her pregnant. give them this fix your dog or fix theirs.
