I know two people who have female dogs that "hump" things and other female dogs, but is this really possible?

I recently got a dog and she is about 4 months now and she is acting weird...it is as if she tries to "hump" my leg.

isnt this strange behavior for a 4 month old dog? I mean she is still a puppy and all. I thought dogs only become sexually active when they are about 6months-1 yr old

Can someone answer/explain this?

Thank You

Your dog doesn't give a toss whether your a male or female. When he's up at your leg, he's hitting a spot that causes him to do a humping reflex. When playing with my pup and his teddy, I sometimes rub him (by accident) in this certain spot, and hey presto he's humping it.
I wouldn't worry if I were you. It's all pretty normal.

Animals use the mounting as a way of showing there dominance over another. They are pack animals and there is an Alpha and rest have a pecking order....they are extablishing that order.

*NO!!!!*
That's MORONS talking,-projecting their own sexual confusion onto the animals!

DOMINANCE,*NOT* "sexual"!!
