That's more than a little overweight, sorry to say. Your BMI is 27.3. Obese would be a BMI of 29 and the top range of healthy is a BMI of 24.9.

Fortunately for you, you're short and won't need to lose as much weight as a taller person would to get down to a healthy weight. Losing only 15 pounds should do the trick.

If you are even asking the question then it bothers you. Only do it for you. I am 5'2, 120 pounds, 23 yrs old. It is hard being short. Those extra pounds show alot quicker on us because we have less room for it to go. There is NO quick fix. Be careful if you want to diet. If you diet wrong you will look bad, hair and skin is effected, and you will be tired all the time. If you have a regular doc ask them what you can do. My insurance company set me up with a diet consultant when I asked. Good luck. P.S. don't set a goal in pounds, just get healthy and never stop!

its hard to give an honest answer without a photo..if you are conserned then you mentally might need to loose five pounds to fill better. Even just removing soda from your intake can make a huge difference.

Okay....3,500 calories to burn one pound of fat
You keep a journal of your food intake..I think its highly important for you to see on paper the numbers of what you are taking in.

You buy a calorie counting watch..You take your total intake calories +3,500 add them together and THAT is what you need to burn everyday..to burn one pound.

If you start seeing the numbers I think it will help see that alot of what you might eat..may be uneccesary. You have to remember that your stomach and your intake of food at one meal sitting should be the size of your fist. It doesn't take much food to maintain your health. You can have 5 to 6 servings of healthy food the size of your fits over three regular huge meals. Your body is like a conveyer belt. You need a little at a time to keep everything moving. Good Luck

For your height, you probably do weigh more than you should. The important thing is how do YOU feel about your weight? Do you feel healthy? That's what's important.
