Visiting relatives in Asia...what are good gifts for men, women, young adults to bring from the US?

when i lived in japan, the japanese folks had a distinct taste for american liquor (jack daniels, jim beam) some of my friends really liked the jim beam collectible bottles. also, they liked getting things like canned hams ( boy was that a favorite) fancy coffees, little nicely packaged boxes of fancy cookies and treats too. you might even try something like a crackerbarrel gift box (with cheeses and sausages).

I don't know what your politics are and I apologize before hand if I offend you, but I am a very liberal democrat and I have found that most people from other countries do not understand our policies under the Bush administration. I bring t-shirt for the upcoming election which support Democratic candidates. A few years ago I was in Europe and brought my friends Kerry/Edwards shirts and they were incredibly popular.
Mind you, I am not a big fan of anti-W shirts. It's still our elected government and no matter how much I disagree with current policies I am still a patriot and would never disparage our country.
I just really like supporting the democratic process and free speech. Two very American things.

bring some american food home they would love that! or for the hims get hats or usa shirts the ladys purses or shoes or jewlery and the young audults i dnt know candy? but i think the food idea is good

Am from Asia and i love gifts such as "stateside" chocolate, branded T-shirts, perfume, sun visor (cap), among many things.

bring them american candy like hershey's, crunch, nerds, and stuff. Buy the hers purses and buy the hims things like baseball hats and things. also i would buy books on the history of america. good luck! :-)
