its either
a- its mad cold outside and its drying ur skin
b-ur skin is removing the dead cells
c-u r using something on ur face that is drying it out.
some prescription acne treatments do this and also astringent. astringent works well to get the excess dirt/oils off ur face...
the solution is simply mosturizer/body lotion
but not too much though or it will cause oils

That depends upon what is making your face peel. Too much sun or too much acne medication or acne soaps are different things. Sun peeling is bad, and medication peeling may be your body's way of telling you to ease off the soaps etc for a day or two. Peeling is expected when treating acne and only you can determine what is an acceptable amount. Like..is your face as red as a tomato? If so then take a break for a few days. Once you hit about 21 years of age moisturizing is mandatory be you man or woman. My problem is I have such oily skin that most moisturizers just clog my pours up and make it worse. It took me years to find the right one.(Some are expe$ive) I have discovered that a micro-exfoliation product is really helpful on all fronts and should be done once or twice a week. I, as a man, have swallowed my pride and I go into a local womans day salon and have them do diamond head microbrasions. The results are immediate but this is a luxury that if you can afford you should do. And remember what mom, dad & your 5th grade teacher told you:"don't pick". Good luck and stick with it!

No, you have to treat that before getting permanent scars.

What i recommend you is to see a dermatologist, because they can give you the prescription for the product i recommend you, The name is Roaccutane, that product will permanently remove all your pimple of your face for life. The treatment takes from 6 to 9 months aprox, depending on your skin condition, if it is severe or not. The dermatologist use that product if you keep having acne problems, because it is that good that will makes you do not visiting them again. So if you go to a dermatologist i recommend you that you tell him or her that you want that product, because they will start with soft ones and on the end you will have to use that one.

Take in consideration that the treatment may give you in the beginning some headaches and if you have an oily skin, you will feel it dry.

I understand your situation, because i had the same problem and i know how it feels. That makes you to stay every day on your house because of your embarasing. Now i have a baby face with that product, so i recommend you to go direct to the point to your dermatologist and tell him about the Accutane and you will see.

Good Luck

I have been in the field of skin care for many years. Skin peeling is called exfoliating and that is a good thing to bring up new skin. However acneic skin is considered sensitive skin. Sometimes the peeling is not good, like if were using soap to clean and alcohol. That can cause like a chemical burn. That makes our face red, itchy, burn and breakout. That causes bad peeling. Use a sensitive skin cleanser and after that witch hazel. The most important thing is oil free moisturizer like Saint Ives in the store to protect your skin from the elements. If you start to get a pimple then put white toothpaste on it and let it stay there till you wake up then wipe it off. Never pop pimples just scrape the top off. the toothpaste helps get rid of them faster.

bleh, not really.
it just uncovers newer skin to get dirty.
acne sucks, take it from me, but
hopefully it'll disappear eventually.
