how much length does a perm take off?

i have hair a little longer than shoulder length hair, and im looking to get a perm, but how much length does it take off? and do i leave my bangs straight

you can expect it to shrink up at least an inch. it also depends on rod size. the smaller the rod, the more it will shrink

well it depends on your race like if your black get a black girl perm and it straightins your hair but if your white most of the time your getting a curly perm...
