I can't say no...just in case?
My mom likes to have control of things, but she is a great person. I love her so much and worry all the time about something bad happening to her. As result, I can never say no to her even if I want to because I fear if I do, she will die and I will regret it for the rest of my life. Does anyone else do this?

A lot of guys do this. I always tell them if you were a woman you would be pregnant. People have a hard time of saying NO!

Its good to have respect for your mom, but if you have an opinion you could voice to her why you don't agree with something. Have you let her know your fear? I love my mom dearly, and because she was in an abusive relationship I have the same fear that I may lose her and never have the oppertunity to tell her how much I love her. But you can let her know how much she means to you, and still have disagreements with her. I've told my mom I love you so much mom, but I just can't talk to you right now. I've been so angry that she's stormed out the door, but she knows I still love her. Just be open and honest with her.

you have to start thinking about death all the time and just enjoy life. death is inevitable, and is going to happen to everyone, just enjoy the time you have with her now, and don't constantly think about, it will ruin your life, and why spend all your time living thinking about death. living is not meant to be that way, and I'm sure if your mom knew this she would tell you the same. if everyone spent their time thinking about everyone they love dieing, the world would be a pretty depressing place to be, and everyone would be sad all the time.
i do this with my boyfriend. i always make sure the last thing i say to him is "i love you" just in case it's the last thing i ever get to say to him, and i do think about not having him around anymore and how upset i would be. one day i told him about this, and him said the same thing that i just did. death is inevitable, and happens to everyone, there is a time for everyone and that's just the way it is. look at it this way. if something happens to your mom, it just means that it was her time to go, and you can't change that.

She won't die for many years, and it will have nothing to do with you when it happens. Be more assertive, and, just occasionally, when it is really important to you, stand up to her and say what you believe, and go your own way, otherwise you will be lost, later in life. It is important to learn to be your own person, as you mature.
