I know I need some of that cotton-like-fiber, and wood. But I want to installed on my wall, you know like a frame that you put against the wall.

Here is a great website that gives you step by step directions and how to hang it even. I have been dieing to make one as well, keep running out of time.

We made one. Not wanting to fasten it permanently to the wall (but we could have), we mounted 2-inch thick polyurethane to a cut down four foot by eight foot pegboard. Then covered it with appropriately colored fabric. The fabric wrapped around the pegboard and was stapled from the back.

With your idea, you could attach the foam with double-faced transparent tape, or paste.

it will prob cost at least $100 to make one, unless you already have the wood, fabric and batting--the cotton-like stuff ; )
