I'm a Christian, but I've always been a little afraid of what being a "Christian nation" would entail. How far would it go? Would it become "illegal" to be Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, etc? Would those who aren't Christian have to pay penalty taxes? A Christian Government- I fear such a thing, I think it could get way out of hand and become very- "un-Christian". Not that I mean to say that's how it Would be. But it would just be a very hard thing to create, with all the different disagreeing denominations and all the different interpretations of the Bible. However, if America did become a Christian nation, it should definately strive to be 1000% better than the Puritan's "New Jerusalem" days.

I think America should be a Christian nation for the sake of its health. I don't want anyone forced into Christianity. I just wish that America was made up mostly of Christians because it is going to really suck for everyone when God judges us as a nation for defying him.
So, for a direct answer: Yes, treat everyone the same. I mean that in the sense of the way a republic should operate.

America CANNOT be a Christian nation. As it states in the Bill of Rights in the Constitution, people have the freedom of religion. Therefore, Christians would be going against the law of the land. Wow, I'm good. I remembered one part of the First Amendment. And I'm not even American. Woot.

I don't care what George Bush Sr. Or George Bush Jr. has to say I am an America citizen simply because I was born and raised here. They are both idiots. And whoever thinks like they do are idiots as well.

Non-Christians would be legally discriminated against, ostracized, and generally looked down on, much as they are now in a Christian's private life.

Since America is not and never has been a Christian nation, the question is moot.
