Your composite resin filling material was matched to the shade of your natural teeth, so if you bleach your natural teeth will lighten, but the composite will remain the same, making it look much darker. Most patients opt to bleach first then have them replaced. If yours are older composites, it's advisable to have them replaced anyway, especially after you bleach your teeth. Just wait a few weeks after bleaching for the shade change to settle down, so the new composites will match your new natural teeth. Your older ones may still work well, but they all tend to darken over the years. So this gives you the perfect excuse to have them re-done. Hope I've been of help tonight and good luck with the bleaching, you'll love the results!

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

You can whiten your teeth, but the composite resin will not change colors.

Actually it is best to bleach your teeth first then get a composite restoration to match the bleach shade. You will probably have to have the restoration redone if their is a large contrast in the color.
