How come girls can't go around TOPLESS in public like men can?

Isn't that descrimination? I thought women wanted equal rights so what's the problem here? I see double standard. And we call this a free country?

other comment is when my 2 daughters came home from france 1 of them made the comment that overweight and old women shouldn't be allowed to go topless at the beach ,.my response to that was does that mean that the younger , thinner ones should be required to go topless

Seriously, I've often wondered about that myself. It's not such a big deal, if you think about it. In many African tribes or in the old Native American cultures women went topless and no-one cared. It would probably attract a lot of unwanted attention in today's culture, though.

Because we would stare MORE than we already do. Women don't generally stare. With topless women going around everywhere....really take the stress word out of a lot of people's vocabulary (for one thing)
