I just stood talking to myself in the mirror for 40 minutes its now 1am in the morning. I don't normally do this, but i feel strangely content after doing it. Is this abnormal?

I don't think that is anything to be alarmed about, unless it becomes a substitute for socializing with others. Actually many people have a 'running dialogue' in their minds that goes on without them even realizing it, whether they may actually be saying things to themselves or just reacting in ways.. example, if you had to go up and give a speech to a crowd of people, you might think (with words or just random thoughts) 'Oh, I can't do this,' 'Why the f*** do i have to do this,' or ' i am excited to do this.' People have doubts about themselves in different situations, and think things to themselves, so what you vocally expressed it. I have done that from time to time too... But like I said, if it becomes a habit, then you might want to look at what role it serves for you and if you are doing this to avoid reaching out to others/engaging in meaningful dialogue with others. Hope that helps.

Hey maybe I'll try that. If it makes you feel better than you'd be crazy if you didn't want to do it. My therapist told me that speaking about your feelings alone is a great way of putting them into prospective. This way there would be nobody objecting to your feelings. Great idea, seriously I am going to try it.

You aren't crazy, you probably just vented in a way and now you relieved some stress.

Not normal, but nothing to worry about, either, as long as it enables you to express yourself; some people do it by writing it down.
