Eating only about 800 calories a day, living on coffee and ciggarettes, always seeing yourself as fat when your not. About 3 days a week,at night before bed I overeat, and its the over eating that bothers me, not the under eating. I'm not too thin, but i have been waaay too thin in the past, size one, but it was due to an anti depressent that makes you lose your appetite. I weigh 128 and am 5.5. i feel my habbits are more out of rushing off and not having time to eat, but i'm tired of feeling weak and tired all the time. im tired of feeling like i'm fat, when logically i know i'm not. I don't throw up, or use laxitives or any of those other things, i just half starve most days than not, and than make up for it by binging about 2000 calories in one sitting 3 nights a week.

So is this, on the brink, or there?
anorexic or bullemic, or just bad habbits?

Well either way it is an eating disorder. You have body dismyorphic disorder. No matter what you see in the mirror you look fat to yourself.

I would get some help now so that you don't have to deal with this for years and years.

Well if you are not throwing up it is not bulimia. However, anorexia is when you don't eat anything at all. But then you binge it to compensate for what you don't eat. You might be addicted to the feeling you get from binge eating. Are you getting some kind of a rush or satisfying feeling while you are or after eating? You should try to nix the smokes and coffee for HEALTHY exercise and change that binge eating into regular small daily meals. Not to mention find a good counselor to give you the proper anti depressant if needed. By the way you are not fat! Good luck girl!

Sounds like you have a binging problem. Anorexia is not eating. You're consuming 800-2000 calories a day. 2,000 calories is the recommended daily diet in the US. However, you should see a nutritionist so that you can get on a stable healthy diet rather than feeling starved to the point of binging.

well actually bullemia is a kind of anorexia. you are not anorexic. Wheh a person is anorexic the can't really eat at all, the sight of food makes them sick. However they are always hungry. So if you can over eat I am pretty sure you are not anorexic. If you think you are too fat you can just eat health foods instead of starving yourself. Eatinf health foods will not make you fat and they will make you feel healthy and fit. So you won't feel weak and tired anymore.

your on the brink of one.
but it sounds like you have EDNOS [eating disorders not otherwise specified]
800 calories is considered anorexic, and the bad body image.

but over eating, that's not bulimic [unless your purging or using laxatives] that's called binge eating disorder.
or it could also be considered "night eating disorder"
if your eating 800 calories a day and dont want to eat more, eat throughout the day every 4 hours it'll make you feel more full and keep your metabolism going, after 5 hrs your body goes on starvation mode and it will make you actualy gain weight!

and take multi vitamins...they lower your cravings of bread and chips, [carbs] which is usually what people binge on.

5'5"128lbs? How in the world is this underweight? It is by no means overweight, but, it isn't underweight, either.

Your 800c/d diet tells me that you probably don't do much un the way of exercise, and THAT might be what's missing in your life.

It is true that exercise is exhausting, so you can expect additional amounts of weariness and tiredness as you start out, however, as your stamina increases in your exercises, it will overflow into your other daily activities as well.

So, I would recommend getting your MD to approve of you in a fitness class and then attending with the same classmates as often as you can. A support group is usuall an essential part of any exercise regimen.

And, as you burn calories, your body will begin to crave more food.

Good luck!

i would say that it is just bad habits. you have gone so long with eating very little that every time you do have time to eat, and eat a lot it makes you feel badly. i would recommend taking vitamins or supplements.
i go to school for four hours a day, and work for six hours a night, and before my shifts i never have time to eat or make anything to take with me so i always carry granola bars, or healthy snacks in my purse to snack while at school, on my way to school or work, and at work. i always eat when i get home at night usually at 3am, and i have a bigger meal. maybe if you start carrying snacks around with you to have during the day to not feel hungry all the time, and having a bigger meal at night or whenever you have time, you may feel better, and not feel so malnourished.
i know what being busy is like, and it seems like eating is on the bottom of your priority list, but it's a dangerous thing to neglect, and there are ways to help it.
good luck, and stop starving yourself!!!!!

It is neither. Anorexia is a tendency to not eat at all and eat only to survive. Bullimia is a case wherein you excrete food manually to lose weight. I think the case that you are presenting is just a case of mild paranoia. Just try to eat normally everyday. Don't overeat and don't undereat. Just be happy inside.

No, this is not being Anerexic or Bullemic if you are still eating and not throwing up. you just need to stop being worried about your weight. That is an average weight for how tall you are. Your fine! Don't worry
