Gore uses more energy than 20 people and he justifies it by saying he is buying "carbon credits," but they just found out that he buys these "credits" from a company he owns. What a perfect scam. He pays himself to break the rules he wants everyone else to follow. He's despicable and his dishonesty an hypocrisy should be exposed to the world.
Gore is a con artist and he's conned the ignorant people already.
Education is the only way to fight back. If you hear someone say that humans create global warming or that CO2 is bad or that the oceans are rising or icebergs are melting or anything ridiculous like that, try to educate them in science. There is no consensus in science. There's no data that supports any of these claims made by Gore.
Overcoming ignorance is the key. Do your part to educate.

Welcome to the environmental movement. If there's a bigger bunch of hypocrits on the planet, I haven't heard of them, and that includes the religious nuts.
The environmental movement, at the top, is about money. Look into it, Al Gore and his buddies are financing the technology he wants to create legislation to force you to buy. Boy, I wish I could find some way to force the public to buy my products by creating regulations and legislation. Imagine an unlimited customer base created by government regulation. Can't happen? How about auto insurance? Air bags? SSN's? 11 years of education regarless of desire or ability of the individual? Fingerprinting of school children? Consealed weapons permits? This list is endless already. They're not all bad things, but they have all created customers for businesses designed to profit from the regulations.
If the "sience" for global warming wasn't all done by people trying to justify their government grants and businesses pushing "green" technology I'd have a lot more respect for it. I'm a journalist, and I've been studying this subject hard for almost a decade. The application of even the slightest critical thinking skills makes modern Global Warming movement suspect.
A single degree in 100 years, maybe? We've only been keeping temperature records for a little over that, and only in a few places. That's 1/1,000,000th or less of the globe's age according to some estimates. Isn't it a little shakey to make preditions on less than 1/1,000,000th of the data?
Iceages are always followed by warming periods, which are followed by iceages, according to every geologist I've ever talked to, and I've interviewed a lot of them. Warm and humid was the rule for the dinosours. Icy was the rule for the mammoth. What a warming period that wasn't caused by man!!?? Imagine!
Look for why someone is promoting something before you believe what they're saying. Didn't your father warn you not to believe a used car salesmen about a car he's trying to sell?

No matter how his defenders can spin the truth, he still uses MORE natural resources than 50+ average Americans.(Let's not forget his other houses, jet planes and cars) No amount of his so called green energy purhases can change that truth. How about conserving like the average American AND buying green? And the rest of Hollywood's celebrities? They're just the same(except Ed Begley)...always telling the rest of us what we should be doing. And their hero Gore? HE DID NOTHING WHILE HE WAS 2ND IN COMMAND IN THE WHITEHOUSE FOR EIGHT YEARS. Just another Hollywood hypocrite.

hes not the only one, just the target, all the other people involved with the propaganda movie are in the same boat and arrived to the oscars by limousines, jet etc.Its funny, how he says hes offsetting his carbon footprint by buying credits,Ive never heard of that except pollutions credits from big business. The scary part about all of this will be the new taxes they will impose for carbon footprints, just wait, thats whats coming!
Remember the good ol' days when science was based on facts proven and not a guess from (consensus) from 18% of the responding scientist to this so called threat.

I don't care. Neither should you.
Al Gore has nothing at all to do with the science behind global warming. He is in no way responsible for any of the solid data about global warming. He is not singlehandedly causing global warming. He's just an actor.
And his message is backed by 99+% of all scientists. They may disagree on some of the details, but not on the basic message. Global warming is real, it's not natural, it's caused by us. And it is a serious threat to our country.
Here's some solid information about the basic scientific agreement on global warming and just a little of the data underlying it.

Not from some weirdos, but from the most respected scientific organizations in the world. Practically every scientific organization publicly supports the reality of global warming.
Talking about Al Gore's personal life in the face of the threat is silly. The people quoted below are hardly fans of Al Gore, but they don't make that mistake. They don't get their information from "An Inconvenient Truth", they get it from the best scientists in the world. None of these people are fools, or environmental crazies. You may not respect them all, but surely you respect some.
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."
Russell E. Train, Republican, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford
"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona
"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."
President George Bush

He is a hypocrite! Has three homes and a private jet that contradict his theory for the rest of us Americans to find ways to reduce usage of fuels and electricity. Global warming, as he states it, is also a farce. He could also help by cutting down on his food consumption.
