I'm looking to file my 2005 taxes. From what I've been told, it can't be done electronically.Does anyone know 'how' exactly I'd go about doing this? What forms I'd request and what not? Also, is this something I can do myself? I'd rather not go through H&R Block or anything/anyone like that... Is there a form on the IRS website I can print out..? I looked but couldn't seem to find any. Thanks guys.

You can download prior year forms and instructions at the IRS website. Yes, you can do it yourself; it's not that hard. Just download what you need, print them out and fill them in and mail them off.

Here's a link to the 2005 forms and publications: http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=158421,00.html

Here is the list of 2005 forms 1040, 1040a, 1040ez and their instructions off the IRS website. You can do them yourself, but I suggest getting software from Turbotax.com. You can look up prior years.

You can go to www.irs.gov, choose "forms and publications", then choose "previous years". You can get the forms you need there to complete your return.
