You should have cracked the office suite before the trial expired...now it's more difficult and the standard activation workaround might run into problems.

Without the laziness it would have been 30 seconds worth of effort to fix but now your optins are:

Either buy office and get a legit key or download the disc image off peer2peer, uninstall your trial crap, and install the full version.

Buying a full version of Office is the most legit way to get a never expiring version for your PC.

To save money, you could also look into the SUITE edition of Microsoft WORKS. That edition includes a full working version of WORD (if that's truly all you are looking for). The rest of WORKS consists of just stripped down versions/clones of Office programs (for instance, there's a spreadsheet, but it sure isn't as robust as EXCEL is. Etc...)

Want to just use your "stupid trial version" over again? Just deleting and re-installing isn't going to do it. However, if your machine is that new and you haven't put much of anything on it yet, you could always use your reinstall discs to set your harddrive up to look exactly as it did when you first got your PC. The "trial" should then have another 90 days of use for you. Free, yes. But a real pain to keep doing this just to have a free working version of Office.

Good luck.

I hate those trial versions. You can give Bill Gates about $400 and upgrade the trial stuff to a full version or you can buy Microsoft Student & Teacher edition and at least get MS Word back.

You can also download the free 'Open Office' stuff which is very close to Word, etc.

You have to use the Microsoft Office installation CD. Install it, and then you'll be able to use the software. So yes, you have to buy the full version. I had the trial too, and I had to buy the full version in order to continue using Microsoft Office. I have no clue why the company gives you the trial in the first place.

What version did you have? You can try two places:
www.amazon.com
www.bizrate.com
and search for the version of office you want. If you don't have to have the latest version, 2007, you can probably get a pretty good price for 2003 or 2000. Whatever you do, be sure you get the CD with product key or you won't be able to get updates and fixes.

You'll need to buy the full version. You can do this online. If you don't want to pay for it then I suggest you uninstall it and install Open Office. www.openoffice.org
It's free and cross compatible i.e. it recognises Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and let's you create files in that format.

I know of hack websites, but I won't share them because they're against the law... sorry. Just buy the full version, and it should have a serial code in it. You can just enter that serial code into your existing trial software and continue to use it without having to delete anything.

You need a valid serial number to make it work again- that is from a new copy you bought or whatever, but if you reload it as a trial, the timer will stay- its a pain to get all the references out of there... bottom line is you need avalid key to use those files on that computer again- they will read on another computer and such, just not using your expired trial...

You have to buy it. The discs typically come with three uses (installations). Or, go to openoffice.org and download those programs. They are similar to MS office, and is compatable with almost everything, if not everything, and free.
