The M6 survival rifle is a good choice due to that fact that it is double barrel, with a .22 Hornet rifle on the top and a 410 shotgun barrel on the bottom, and therefore allows you to use the rifle barrel for stationary rodents and the 410 barrel for running chipmunks.

Any rifle in the CZ-USA rifle line is perfect for chipmunk hunting. All the rifles in this line are bolt action and can have a scope mounted for extra accuracy. They are on the light side and are not very long so they can easily be toated in the woods. They come chambered in all of the seventeen calibers and come in .22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle, and .22 WMR. The newest rifle in this line is the 453 varmint. This rifle is chambered in .17 HMR. This rifle also comes in .22 WMR. This gun is signifacantly longer then the previous models and ways a pound or so more. This gun features a special adjustable trigger that lightens the pull by simply pushing the trigger forward. The trigger breaks usually at 4 and a half pounds but when set it breaks at just over a pound.

It depends on the range you wont to shoot.
Close range 100 yards or less any of the rim fire 17 caliber or 22 caliber.
Long range 150 yards to God only knows, center fire 17, 223, 22-250 or 243 and 25-06 even.
But seeing is believing in what a big fast center fire will do.
It’s not chipmunks but just thank what it would do to them.

I shot 40 chipmunks with my single shot .22 rim-fire rifle. i like the subsonic .22 shorts.

P.S. don't use a 12 ga. on a chipmunk it will blow the thing into pieces and the pieces will go every where.

These can be dangerous creatures, I agree, and I have never been one to take stupid chances so my gun of choice for the chipmunks would have to go with the 50 bmg. One mile range will get some distance between you and your prey for safety sake. come to think about it, that pretty much works for just about anything on the planet. Good luck white hunter.

How big are your chipmunks?? A 12 gauge is usually sufficient, and you can get several at once.
One one of the other answers, what is a 5-10 shotgun? Don't you mean a .410?

any of the 17 calaibers would work, as well as any of the 22 calibers. If you really want to make a mess of the little guys, use a .308.
