If you leave them on your teeth for a few more than 30 minutes, it isn't going to hurt you. However, if you leave them on your teeth for a significant amount of time, your teeth will become very sensitive and hurt. I once did the 30 minute strips, and then took them off and put on another set because you are supposed to do it twice a day, and I didn't feel like waiting, so I just did them back to back, and it hurt really bad. My teeth were sore for a couple weeks afterwards. I had wished someone had punched me in the mouth, it would have hurt less than my teeth did at the time! I do NOT recommend doing it back to back, and not to leave them on any longer than a half hour like it says.

I'm not sure exactly what happens but it is not safe to do so because you are actually putting acid on your teeth so leaving the whitening strips in for longer then 30 min. could severely damage your teeth. This is what my dentist told me. They work great though, if used correctly.

It depends how long. A few minutes extra shouldnt hurt. I bet if you left them on much longer than an hour, your gums would hurt and the H2O2 in the Strips might eat away some tissue.

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

the white strips do this. the whiter areas are the place the stains have been lifted up in the previous the different areas of the tooth. occurred to me too. basically shop utilising them and in a pair of week they are going to all be that white. oh and don't use them stunning when you sweep, it could make your tooth gentle

Nothing really. They might be a little more sensitive temporarily, but it's really not a big deal.
