If you mean to call him up and ask him out, then that is fine - has been done ever since the phone has been a popular way of communication. SMS on the other hand would run the risk of not being taken seriously.

defiantly- i asked a guy to the sadie hawkins dance on the phone- although it was just to go as friends (even though we werent really friends) but anyway- i dont think its a problem- i dont think it matters to the guy :)
