I had two of them last summer. I am 29 yrs old and am considerably thin. It was the worst pain I ever felt in my life, and they cam out of no where, one after another!! I had to have 2 surgeries one after another. Now, everyonce in a while, I feel that familiar pain on my side although its not as strong by any means, but it scares me!! Can I get one again so suddenly or is it just mild pain from the surgeries ?? Anyone can relate??

I've had a few over the last 10 years. I've had lithotripsy surgery cuz I had one embedded in my kidney. I noticed the pain when I am a little dehydrated. I bring water where ever i go now. Once in a while I feel a fluttering pain. Don't be scared just drink lots of fluids!

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

You could be passing smaller kidney stones when you feel that pain. Did the doctor talk to you about changing your diet? You may have to cut out a lot of dairy products.
