He's not my dog, so no I wouldn't be breeding him.
Plus on his web page their it says he has passed on.

Yeah he looks pure to me. Having spotted pigmentation in the nose isn't uncommon. My Mom has a Golden Retriever that is purebred, AKC registered and her nose looks that same way.

Pink parts on a dogs nose can occur on any type of dog at all purebred or mutt. Also his breed is from a colder climate these kinds of dogs tend to have more chances of pink parts on their nose than dogs from hotter climates but it is possible for all dogs.

Nose pigment is black to dark brown. Lips are thin and tight, black to dark brown in color. Faults: pink nose pigment or pink lip pigment.

So could just be a fault in a purebred.

It's winter time and some dogs with back noses get winter or snow nose. It usually returns to all black once the weather gets warmer.

i believe so. i have a pure bred, yellow lab that had a black nose all his life until one day when he had an accident and scraped his nose. when it healed it was pink. many dogs also lose pigment as they age....especially 12yr old dogs.

Yes. He just has "snow nose." It's simply a decline/loss of pigmentation due to little exposure to the sun.

What a gorgeous dog---does it matter what color his nose is? Your not going to use him for breeding I hope so his nose could be green and he'd still be a wonderful dog.
