Yes, an Improvised Explosive Device was deployed on three civilian vehicles in Iraq while i was there as an Army line Medic. I had to evacuate a female with part of her head blown off.

When I was about 10, I saw the results of a guy having gone over the electric lines on his motorcycle oozed all over the street. It was pretty nasty.
