i never made it before..it was in my freezer a few months, i added spices and am cooking it to make into a meat sauce but i dont no how to tell if its bad..i tried alittle and im not sick.. should i just throw it away and order take out or can it be ok?

You gotta smell it before you add seasons to it! I don't think ground turkey smells at all when I go to use it; personal opinion. If you ate some and it's rotten you will be throwing up in an hour or less. Good luck.

whether fresh or frozen, meat should have no odor- perhaps your spices are contributing to the smell-if not, throw it away and chalk one up to experience. Also when you buy fresh or frozen meats always check expiration dates, make sure packages are sealed and if you are going to "use it later," repackage it in freezer quality paper or freezer bags, date it , and don't thaw until ready to use. Always thaw in the refrigerator, which depending on the size of the package, usually takes twenty-four to forty-eight hours.

I think it smells funny. If you're used to the smell of beef it might be stinky. It's probably fine

It's different.

It's also dry as hell. I've never found a good use for ground turkey.

yes it does. but it is alot healthier for you than beef. great in chili or spag. sauce.

(When in doubt throw it out) What my momma told me long time ago...........ground turkey is nasty anyways i dont like it
