I had NO idea what my drill sergeant was talking about...?

At the tender age of 17, I entered the military. While hearing the drill sergents talking and joking, cavorting about things big and small, I will never forget what one told me with all the seriousness of a heart-attack: woman..."love em' and leave em', they will ONLY cause you heartache!"

And I thought...you must be a mean person to say that(of course me not knowing REALLY the makeup of a woman, being very wet behind the ears).
And slowly over years, it all became very clear...the prima donna's...the princesses...the un-educated golddiggers...the control freaks...the shop-aholic's...

Yes, it's all come full circle...tell me...do you think after experiencing the above for the past 30 years...was he right??
