To the "feminist" above, it is safe to assume that your kids are brats if you have any. The problem with kids now a days are they are not disciplined at all. Kids get away with everything and show little respect for anyone. If you think they respect you to your face, there is a big chance they say things when you are not around that is disrespectful. Btw, how is he a pig for saying that sons seem weakier today than before and kids need to be disciplined? He did not say anything about women. Run away piglet...

On topic: Males and females both are weaker now (Physically) than ever. The problem is, the majority of people are lazy and un-motivated causing them to become weak. To the guy above that asked if climbing a phone poll was necessary to work on phones, YES! and it should be. Most workers are becoming over weight and do not want to do anything. Fact: The majority of police officers are overweight (not all, majority). Parents should not raise weak and sheltered kids because they are not aware of the real world and often fail when they get out on their on, because they are use to parents handing them everything. I am 21 years old and do not have any kids. I respect my parents and would take down anyone who harmed them. If I do have kids one day, bet your *** they are going to respect me.

Your father had to successfully complete climbing school when he joined the phone company 40 years ago? That's asking a bit much for people working with phones.

I think you have a good point, though, in swatting bottoms. I can definitely see how spanking would help a boy, or a girl for that matter, climb better. It makes perfect sense.

Yeah, I additionally observed that that question were deleted and puzzled WTF? here is yet another one. as a fashion to be sure actual typical sexism in our society. I asked 2 questions, a million do adult men have a hate on for woman and a pair of do women folk have hate on for adult men. I have been given approximately 13 responses from women folk who had a hate on for adult men. the different question became right now deleted. So I asked why that question may well be deleted and one feminist gave a ludicrous answer pointing out phony learn that have shown that the mere point out of mysogeny incites violence against women folk. One wonders what medical trial became devised to try this hypothesis and in what jurisdiction the learn might have been criminal. (ok i'm going to speak approximately misogeny to this undertaking and you count style what proportion situations he assaults the girl next to him...)

Yes........
But it is not just boys. When I was young we rode bikes all over the neighborhood, played in the woods, ran around outside. Now kids have Ipods, cell phones, play stations, and are not allowed out of their own backyards.
I do not blame individual parents, I blame society as a whole. Btu I agree with you.

I think people in general just do less physical activity on many places. I don't think the sons are 'weaker" in any significant sense, but they probably spend less energy climbing and more time playing on the computer.

interesting thought!

i agree that parents are becoming too good at providing treats all the time and not in laying down discipline and discipline from the get go

this coupled with smaller families(so keeping the fewer you do have at a 'baby' level) , more sedentary lifestyles and more computer games leads to kids leading more isolated lifestyles from each other and so lower social skills are the norm now

I totally agree, my dad was in the army and he was in the war in South Africa 30 odd years ago and he says he can defnantly see a diference in boys these days. back then they were real boys not girly boys playing netball. I also believe it has to do with nowdays parenting, people wrap their children in cotton wool its not the way to go. If a war breaks out how are we going to defent our country with boys that have been wrapped up in cotton wool their whole life.

Ofcourse this does not go for ALL guys so no hate mail please :P
Just saying more and more are becoming this way, lucky i still know pretty manly guys out there :)

I agree little boys need to toughen up. Take away those barbies and give them a football every once in a while.

Any boy who doesn't have a toy gun by 3, a BB gun by 7 and a real .22 or better by 10, and thinks guns are bad (mmm-kay?) is beggin' to get his a$$ whupped. And the sad part is it's not really his fault.
